2D and 3D Seismic Acquisition are used to produce images of the various geological formations (rock types) and their location beneath the Earth's surface. Seismic information is required to optimally locate the well and delineate the probable size of oil and gas reservoirs with expected reserves, and minimize the risk associated to drilling of prospect.
